用法
- A political party - in China, by default 党 alone means the Communist Party - 政党 (zhèngdǎng) political party, 党员 (dǎngyuán) party member, 入党 (rùdǎng) to join the Party.
- Also a clique/faction, often pejorative - 结党营私 (jiédǎng-yíngsī) to form a clique for selfish ends.
- Politically weighty word; capital-P 'the Party' is the unmarked reading in mainland contexts.
